November Meeting
Some of our Vides family

(L-R) Tom, Janet, Jerry, Paul & Jerry

Our November meeting was held on the 19th and it was very productive. We had some new faces who had expressed an interest in going overseas and some “not so new” faces who were returning from trips or had become involved in new projects.

We heard from a previous Vides member who had started a new project in Port St. Johns, South Africa. Tender Sense was founded in 2009 and supports and helps communities in order to provide people with a better quality of life. They employ local skilled people to work on local projects and we were shown pictures of the work they have done already.

There was feedback from Lisa who had returned to Mazabuka, Zambia after volunteering there two years previous. She also spent some time in the City of Hope, Lusaka so she was able to give us a great insight into developments in both projects.

There was much discussion and we thank all our volunteers for coming and getting involved. We wish our five volunteers the best of luck for the coming months. They are travelling to various projects in Zambia in the new year and we will be keeping them in our thoughts and prayers.
